Rumors are swirling that Miley Cyrus could replace Angus T. Jones on “Two and a Half Men.” After the actor made waves with his show-bashing religious testimonial, a report circulated that Jones could be on his way out the door — and that Cyrus, who guest starred on the sitcom this season, was being eyed as a potential full-time replacement. The rationale was that Cyrus brought “Two and a Half Men” big ratings with her appearances asMissi, and that she could be written into the show in a larger capacity to take over for Jones if he departs. But Gossip Cop has learned there’s NO truth to the Cyrus-replacing-Jones rumors. A spokesperson for Warner Bros. tells Gossip Cop the report is “not accurate.” Meanwhile, sources close to the situation tell us that while Cyrus may yet appear in the future on “Two and a Half Men,” it’s “not a done deal,” and it has “nothing to do” with whether Jones stays. In speaking with ET’s Christina McLarty, Miley Cyrus cleared up rumors that she and fiance Liam Hemsworth were planning multiple weddings, started by her dad. According to Miley, she hasn’t even set one wedding date, let alone the three ceremonies that Billy Ray told Us Weekly were going to take place. “My dad knows nothing,” Miley says, pointblank. “I think he’s getting cabin fever from [Superstorm Sandy]. He got stuck in his hotel and now he’s making up crazy things.” Billy Ray has been in NYC, performing in a Broadway production of Chicago. The 19-year-old singer/actress goes on to admit that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. “He does what I do: When he’s sitting in a press thing, he’s like, ‘Let’s make this fun. Let’s make some stuff up,’” Miley says. Even with this recent flub, Miley does thank her parents for doing a good job of raising her, saying, “My parents have never been super strict, and people could think that’s bad or good, but people that judge me or say that I’m, like, crazy — they don’t know half the stuff their kids are doing.” Source: ETOnline.com |

Ratings can be a fickle game, and it was therefore hard to be certain Miley Cyrus was the true driver of “Two and a Half Men”‘s season high ratings for her first guest appearance. That argument is now significantly easier to make; ratings again spiked for her appearance this week. “Men” rose to a 4.0 adults 18-49 rating with 14.1 million viewers, easily winning its timeslot and building on last week’s performance. While its CBS lead-in “The Big Bang Theory” was again strong, it actually dipped in the demo this week, averaging a 5.0 and 16.5 million viewers compared to last Thursday’s 5.1 and 15.7 million. That further supports the notion that Cyrus is spiking the ratings by a few tenths. Source: HeadlinePlanet.com |

There was relationship trouble all over the place on “Two and a Half Men,” though the return of Miley Cyrus certainly kept things moving. Walden, tired of having his heart broken, hired an actress to play his girlfriend — but then fell for her anyway. She didn’t break character, though, so he couldn’t quite tell how she felt. At least, until she told him she’s gay. Miley Cyrus showed up as Missi for an impromptu visit. She was followed shortly by Jake, who said he was on a weekend leave. It turns out it was a weekend AWOL because he’d fallen in love with Missi. But while Jake was ready to run away with her, Missi was just looking to have some fun. There was some wisdom in her stream-of-consciousness rambling this time around. Walden was miserable, having decided that he no longer believed in the concept of true love, but Missi still did. She said it was like the first snowfall of the year when kids grab their sleds and take off. “You are zipping down the street, laughing and crying all at the same time and you never want it to end,” Missi said. “That’s what real love should feel like.” Source: HuffingtonPost.com |

Two and a Half Men welcomed singer/actress Miley Cyrus to the show a couple weeks ago and it looks like they liked her so much that they are bringing her back for more. EW’s Inside TV reports that the former Miss Hannah Montana boosted ratings so much during her first visit that it’s probably a sure bet that everyone is hoping that she’ll bring that magic back again. Cyrus is set to return in an episode that is due to air on November 8, when her character will apparently have another romantic rendezvous with Jake (Angus T. Jones). Cyrus was first introduced in episode 10.4 of the series called “You Do Know What the Lollipop’s For.” Her character, Missi, is the daughter of Walden’s (Ashton Kutcher) old friend and ended up taking a liking to Alan’s son Jake during a visit. Considering what happened the first time Missi came to town, I’m guessing that there are bound to be some sparks between Missi and Jake when Cyrus returns to the show in November. The only question will be if those sparks will turn into something more permanent. Is it possible that Cyrus could end up on the show on a more permanent basis? Or if not permanently, then maybe in a recurring guest role? Anything’s possible at this point, but one thing’s for sure: Cyrus’ visit to the show was a lot of fun last time so I’m sure it will be just as fun the second time. As to whether or not that means she’ll be back again, only time will tell. Though if the series sees another boost in ratings like it did last time, I’d be surprised if TPTB didn’t bring her back again for another round. What do you think of the news of Cyrus coming back to Two and a Half Men? Did you enjoy her first guest-starring role on the series? Do you hope that she and Jake will turn into a couple? Would you like her to become a permanent part of the cast or do you think her role should be kept to the recurring guest-star variety? Source: BuddyTV.com

Miley Cyrus came, she saw and she conquered. At least on Two and a Half Men, where her guest cameo led to a season-high ratings boost. So when we caught up with scene partner Angus T. Jones at Sunday’s Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times’ 20th Annual Halloween Carnival, we had to ask if she might be sticking around a bit longer. “I don’t know,” Angus, who said he doesn’t pay attention to the ratings news explained to us. “I’m not sure what they’re going to do.” The actor told us “of course” he’d be thrilled if she chose to return though, telling us, “It was a lot of fun. She is extremely talented, extremely hilarious and she’s an awesome person to have on set.” Plus, it doesn’t hurt that he got some action during the first episode of her two-part stint, the second airs Thursday. “It was silly,” Angus laughed when we asked about his smooch scene. “Acting kissing is one of the weirdest things that you have to do.” And Miley’s fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, need not worry. “He came down when we shot on Friday. I said, ‘Hey,’” Jones recalled of Hemsworth visiting set before joking, “I said, ‘Ya know, it’s strictly business between me and Miley.’ She’s definitely his.” One thing Liam may want to worry about though is Miley’s growing obsession with Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. “She said she loves watching it,” Angus confirmed (Miley previously said her Men character Missi is based on Alana Thompson). “And tortures her fiancé with it.” Source: EOnline.com |
