Jumpsuits are a tricky garment for any lady to tackle, but Miley Cyrus’ attempts have certainly raised a few more eyebrows than those of her peers. Fortunately, the singer proved last night that’s she’s a pretty quick learner.

As the star attendee of the Maxim Hot 100 party (she earned this year’s top slot on the list), Miley dressed to impress in a sexy-yet-demure jumpsuit. The black and white number was a relatively streamlined look for the 20-year-old, but featured an oversized bow detail on the back — a very nice touch.

Let’s all give it up for Miley Cyrus, you guys! In between fanning Met Ball rumors and nabbing consecutive covers for ELLE UK and V magazines last week, the singer has managed to land herself the coveted #1 spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 list! Seriously, though, this is NO easy task. Each year the men’s publication pits hotties from the music, film, and fashion worlds against each other, and this time around, Miley (and her Smilers, obviously) stole 2012′s crown right out from under model Bar Rafaeli. Not that this pop star really needs to prove her hotness, or anything. I mean, can we all talk about this photo above?! Posted over the weekend, the image shows her channeling a Bond girl bombshell in a metallic gold swimsuit, tons of glimmering jewelry, and sultry, straight-on gaze. She may have been #68 on the list just last year, but Miley’s come a LONG way since then… that’s for sure.

While Miley’s past couple of mag appearances have seen her hair flipped up (think chic ski-jump), this time around she’s going for an extreme side part that reminds us of that ’60s style she rocked a few months back. It’s more subtle than the one she usually sports, but this slicked ‘do also allows the focus to naturally drift toward Miley’s smoky beauty look— defined brows, kohl-rimmed eyes, and nude lips— giving the entire shimmery spread a very ’70s glam appeal. Also, that tattoo not-so-secretly peeking out from the maillot’s cut-out side? We see you.

Let’s be honest: scoring the #1 spot as bonafide hottie provides for MAJOR bragging rights. And Miley herself was the one who tweeted the news out over the weekend! Well, along with some othernews:

@MileyCyrus: My 1st Instagram is dedicated to all my fans ❤ thank you for crowning me #1 Maxim Hot 100 http://instagram.com/p/Y5rzk0QzPn/

Yep, Miley has Instagram, y’all! Whether it’s posting photos of a blingy manicure, her dogs, and life on the PJ, she’s been ‘gramming up a storm over the past few days. Sigh. Will Met Ball pictures come later tonight? We’re betting yes. So click “Follow” now, and in the meantime, tell us what you think of her Maxim shoot!

Dudes, we can’t stop talking about the Met Gala. I mean, ever since we heard the theme was going to be “Punk: Chaos and Couture,” we knew it was going to be a particularly special year for us at the Metropolitan Museum. So far, we’ve heard that everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Solange Knowles to Psy (!!!) are attending the fashion world’s fanciest event, but today we got word that the QUEEN of punk might also make an appearance come Monday—Miley Cyrus! Miley Online broke the news this afternoon, and we really, REALLY hope it’s true, y’all. I mean, have you guys seen the latest issue of V Magazine? She rocked three different hair colors on the cover alone. *bows down*

Miley’s style has already taken on a punky identity (she ‘s no stranger to studded-out leather jackets and skull-print rompers), so finding an ensemble for the occasion shouldn’t be too hard. We assume she’ll sport her signature platinum pixie cut in a punk Mohawk homage (like above!), so now it’s all about finding THE perfect dress. Since a lot of designers have already claimed their celeb date, we narrowed down Miley’s choices in into three main picks. The first one is a GORGE silver metallic off-the-shoulder gown from Jean-Paul Gaultier‘s Spring/Summer 2013 haute-couture show. The choker and super dark smoky eyes give it an edgy vibe—not to mention it’s made by a designer who once sent his models down the runway in sky-high Mohawks. For the second look, we decided to pick a super glam Atelier Versace Spring/Summer 2013 pinstripe suit with KILLER gold zipper detailing and metallic shoulder pads. If any can rock the heck out of a suit, it’s Miley. If she decides to go for something a little more girly, we thought this Dolce & Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2012 sheer lace dress would be PERFECT with the right studded accessories. What do you hope Miley wears to the Met Gala? Let us know in the comments below!

We suppose if we were celebrities, with unlimited access to anything we wanted to wear, we’d eventually get bored of the same old gowns and cocktail dresses.

Apparently, that’s what happened to Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Amanda Seyfried, all of whom have recently forgone designers’ womenswear collections for something a little different: pieces literally borrowed from the boys.

This weekend, Cyrus tweeted a shot of herself in her signature crop top, sexy heels and a pair of men’s leather basketball shorts. “Girl in boys clothing,” she wrote.

Cyrus is hardly the first star to have shopped a designer’s menswear collection. Rihanna has been doing it for months, wearing an Acne suit in December. This weekend, she hit a Lakers game in a pair of heavy metal-embroidered sweatpants from Kokon To Zai (which she may or may not have borrowed from Kanye West).

But though we expect such gender-bending sartorial hijinks from fashion-forward stars like Cyrus and Rihanna, this trend has expanded to more conventional dressers like Seyfried, who flew back from Paris Fashion Week in a cozy-looking religious motif sweatshirt from Givenchy’s Spring 2013 menswear collection.

We’re big fans of boyfriend jeans, so maybe this is just the logical evolution of guy-inspired style. But we want to know: Do you like these stars’ menswear looks?

Miley Cyrus has been treating her Twitter followers to an impromptu photoshoot (and token flash of her toned abs) where she styled up more tomboy looks.

Pairing her blonde pixie haircut with a crop top and slouchy shorts combo, she oozed biker chic in a studded leather jacket.

She may have started out as a cute-as-can-be Disney star as Hannah Montana but this look is giving bag gal Rihanna a run for her tom-girl style status.

But are you a fan of Miley’s rebellious studded look? Let us know!

Two words: Formal. Onesie. Ok so maybe red carpet jumpsuits are nothing groundbreaking, but just last week we were lamenting the coming of warm weather, and with it, and end to Miley Cyrus’ animal onesie season, but if her appearance at an event for The Ryan Seacrest Foundation on Friday is any indication, Miley’s love for one piece ensembles will not wane with the coming spring. Channeling Donna Summer, Miley took to the red carpet in a black and white striped, strapless Chanel jumpsuit. This look is quintessential Miley, not only showcasing her love for single piece garments, but also showing off one of her favorite patterns—thick, vertical, black and white stripes. Miley has been spotted in the silhouette elongating look in both dress and pant form, and she’s right on trend. We’ve been chatting about black and white stripes since the fall, when Marc Jacobs showed them on his spring 2013 runway, and we think we’re going to be seeing monochrome in many forms in the coming months, vertical stripes in particular.

We have to say that to date, this is one of our favorite looks on Miley. While she has rocked some memorable jumpsuits, from her denim Anthropologie look to her unforgettable skull print romper, give this girl an attached top and bottom, and she’ll make it look amazing. This particular iteration of the style is sleek, high fashion, and unexpected, and takes that special Miley confidence to pull off, and pull it off she most certainly does.

Our March cover girl Miley Cyrus isn’t afraid to mess with her mane.

Proving to be a hair cameleon, the fun fearless female recently tweeted “My hurrr ain’t blue. That shits PLATINUM.” Admittedely the singer “went heavy on the shimmer lights,” which imparted a silvery tinge to her very short tresses.

We love her new pale-purple-meets-pewter hair color, but Miley’s tweet got us thinking about pigmented shampoos and conditioners.

When your hair is as bleach blonde as hers, it’s super porous. And porous hair soaks in everything. So, when you’re using these pigmented purple formulas, such as Clairol Shimmer Lights, which really does work wonders when it comes to canceling out any brasiness in your blonde ‘do, it’s important to remember these three things:

1. If you bleach your hair constantly, when you wash it with a purple shampoo and conditioner, saturate it with water first so that the H2O fills up any holes in your hair shaft. That way it won’t be as porous and soak up the colored sudser and conditioner.

2. Use both the pigmented shampoo and conditioner to get the full benefit of the formulas. They’re meant to work together, instead of leaving one of them on for a longer time period in hopes of cancelling out any yellow tones.

3. Don’t leave the formulas on longer than the instructions say, and make sure you rinse them out thoroughly (unless you want Miley’s awesome effect, of course). These kinds of shampoos and conditioners are highly pigmented and super powerful, so you want to be sure to follow the instructions they come with to get the desired results.

Okay, so now that you’re up to speed on pigmented shampoos and conditioners, we have to say that we love that MC has fun with her hair and changes up her look often. It actually inspires us to do the same.

What do you think about her new hair hue?

Cat Deeley flaunted her fabulous figure in a daring crop top last night as she hit the Dukes of Melrose launch in stunning Marc Jacobs style.

Hitting up the Harper’s Bazaar bash in LA, the presenter gave us complete print envy in her new season ensemble.

Miley Cyrus evoked similar ‘ohhs’ and ‘ahhs’ when she flashed the flesh in the same spring/summer stripes at New York Fashion Week.

Cosying up to the designer himself, Miley put a quirky spin on things with a Mickey Mouse slogan jumper.

Both ladies also favoured a red lip and black handbag pairing as they allowed their bold prints to really pop.

Two gorgeous outfits, two uh-mazing sets of abs, but whose look do you prefer? Vote here!

When Miley Cyrus hacked off her hair in Aug. 2012, it was the chop heard round the world. After years of long, lush locks, worn in a variety of shades, textures and lengths, the singer/actress decided she had enough and went punk pixie short. Cyrus bleached it blonde and went as close cropped as you could get. So far, she hasn’t stopped cutting.

As the weeks went by, Miss Miley went blonder and shorter, and has gone on record to say that she will never, like, ever get back together with long hair.

In honor of Miley embracing the shorter side of life, we were inspired to look back at some of her best hairstyles over the year. She’s always been well-coiffed, and whether her strands are long or short, curly or straight, blonde or brown, textured or two-toned, she always keeps us guessing.

1. Old Hollywood Glam Waves
Miley Cyrus showed up to the 2012 Oscars in Old Hollywood glam fashion, with shoulder-length, golden waves. It was an old fashioned style, from her hair to her bold brows to her deep, crimson lips — but she kept the whole thing young and modern with the color, courtesy of the dark roots. The side swept curl in her bangs also made this look pretty and a total winner for ‘The Climb’ singer.

2. Sleek + High Ponytail
Long hair is youthful and ponytails are certainly girlish, but they don’t always have to be that way. Miley Cyrus showed that a mega long pony can be adult and sexy with this sleek, slicked-back, up ‘do. The ombre color, with buttery blonde ends, and the fact that she wrapped a hair knot around the base of her pony were added touches that made this one of her sexiest styles ever. Yet another long look that makes us miss Miley’s mane…

3. Big + Voluminous
Ever think that shoulder-length hair isn’t versatile or fun? Well, just look at Miley Cyrus, who’s big ‘do to the left proves that shorter hair can be styled any which way you please. The singer/actress rocked full and voluminous waves at the 2012 Billboard Awards. The blown back height at the crown is very ’70s and undeniably sexy. Her hair may have been at a shoulder-skimming length at the time, but she showed that you can do so many different things with it. She looked utterly bangin’.

4. Dark Honey Waves
While Miley Cyrus just went on record to say that she never sees herself going long again with her locks, these glossy, honey-amber waves might make her want to rethink that position. At the 2010 AMAs, her extra-long, shiny waves were beautifully suited to an awards show. She was the quintessential beach girl, with pretty yet imperfect tresses. If she never grows her strands past her collarbone again, we can always remember this style and smile.

5. Ombre Bedhead
While accompanying her fiance Liam Hemsworth to a premiere of ‘The Hunger Games,’ Cyrus sported ombre bedhead waves. The look appears low maintenance and effortless, as if she walked off the oceanside and right onto the red carpet. The wavy texture and dark-to-light shade, paired with subtle sheen, makes us long for the days when Miley’s hair was longer. This shake-your-hands-through-it-and-go look is easily one of her best.

6. Extra Long Extensions
Starlets can enjoy a variety of different hair looks thanks to the miracle of extensions, which is what Miley Cyrus wore to the Kids’ Choice Awards back in 2011. The light brown hue and cascade of curls were supremely young and most definitely kept Cyrus in ‘Hannah Montana’ mode. Although some women would drown underneath all that hair, Miley’s confidence allowed her to pull off such a Rapunzel-y look flawlessly.

7. Golden Bob
This was Miley Cyrus P.C. — Pre Chop! The glossy shine and golden, honey hue of this shoulder-length, face-framing bob accentuated Miley’s good looks gorgeously. Looking back, it might seem “ordinary” when compared to her new, punk pixie cut. However, this cut and color suited Cyrus’ face shape. It wasn’t too long or too short, so this polished ‘do was pretty much perfect.

8. Blonde Punk Pouf
At the iHeart Radio Festival in Sept. 2012, Miley Cyrus had just chopped off her hair. While fans and style critics were concerned that she would lack versatility and femininity with such a close-cropped look, she showed that it was anything but one-note. The platinum, white hot color was bold and grabbed your attention, but that blown-back pouf on the top? It was edgy and punk rock, elevating the super short style to fashionable in one fell swoop. The coif called attention to all of her facial features, as she could no longer hide behind hair… not that she ever needed to!

9. Two-Toned Faux Hawk
At New York Fashion Week in 2013, Miley Cyrus showed off a two-toned faux hawk with a messy, tousled and spiky top. The visibly dark roots pop against the platinum blonde tips. Overall, the look is alternately tough and feminine, thanks to her spidery, Twiggy-like lashes and scarlet lips. also, he shortness of her hair really brings out her supple lips and blue-gray eyes. Maybe she really was onto something when she hacked off her hair. And off topic — doesn’t she look a bit like One Direction‘s Niall Horan?

10. Boho Chic Waves
Miley Cyrus put forth a distinctly ’70s vibe with these golden, boho chic waves that spill past her boobs. Thick, textured and two-toned, Cyrus was sporting rocker chick chic strands at this phase of her life. The singer/actress was typical California girl with her coif, thanks to beachy waves that look better when you wait two days to wash them. Even her unfancy follicles are fashionable!

18 Feb 2013

Miley Cyrus has a bit of a bone to pick with Justin Bieber. After the Biebs’ SNL skit in which he played the president of her fan club, Cyrus hopes art imitates life. “I haven’t gotten to see it yet but I heard he’s my biggest fan in it. If he’s my biggest fan, maybe they can get him to call me back,” Cyrus said in her distinct teeny twang, about to take her front row seat at the Marchesa show on Wednesday evening. “Justin’s mom emailed me and told me to watch it. I’m sure I’ll think it’s hilarious. I heard he apologized for smoking weed [in the skit] so I think that’s funny.”

The starlet, in a cream, form-fitting number from the line, also discussed her fashion week outings thus far. “It was very my style,” Cyrus said of Rachel Zoe’s presentation, which she saw earlier in the day. She continued to give a wordy, often contradictory definition of that style. ”Sometimes it’s hard to find things that look punky but don’t look too girly but still look, like, nice. It wasn’t too thrifty but it was still kind of punk.” She displayed said ‘punk’ when she took her seat, throwing a leather bomber over her Marchesa frock.
